Berlin, November 15, 2016 – Three out of four customers inform themselves on their smartphones before they head into a store – yet, stationary retail is not prepared for the disruption digitization brings to their industry. That is the finding of a comprehensive study by HDE (The German Retailer Association), the eWeb Research Center of the University of Applied Sciences Niederrhein, and Bonial, the leading international network for location-based mobile advertising.

Location-based services, click & collect offers and the opportunity to reserve items would help stationary retailers to revitalize inner-city shopping, the study says. (…)
